For the first time since 1964, Chicago will host the National Football League (NFL) Draft and football fans have the opportunity to attend the event for free. Additionally, first time LYFT riders can receive a free ride (up to $20) by entering promo code LETSGOBEARS when registering for the ridesharing app. First time UBER users can receive a free ride (up to $30) by registering and entering promo code KFTA8.
The 2015 NFL Draft begins April 30 and runs through Saturday May 2. While the actual Draft presentations will be held at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, many other related events will be held in parts of Grant Park and Congress Plaza.
According to NFL.com, “Round 1 will take place on Thursday, April 30 while Rounds 2-3 will be held on Friday, May 1. The Draft will conclude on Saturday, May 2 with Rounds 4-7. Round 1 festivities will include incoming prospects walking the red carpet on Michigan Avenue, while 32 former players who are members of the NFL Legends community, one representing each team, will be on hand for Round 2 to announce selections.
In addition to the Draft, there will be an outdoor fan festival where fans of all teams can follow the Draft, enjoy interactive exhibits and autograph sessions with current and former players.
Tickets will be free for all fans to the fan festival.
